The countdown begins! Memorial Day Weekend is just days away, that means in just a few short days, we get to celebrate with the first official BBQ of the season. Every year, we always celebrate Memorial Day with our friends and family. We love to hang out and lounge in the sun, play lawn games and of course eat hot dogs, hamburgers and try all of the amazing side dishes everyone creates. Sadly, I will be working at the office this year, just a half day, thankfully, but we will definitely be firing up the grill in the early afternoon when I get home on Monday! For my outfit this year, I found the most adorable denim, off the shoulder dress at my local Fred Meyer. It is so feminine, yet playful and fun and features a softer denim fabric that is comfortable as well as breathable. I totally fell in love with the detailed ruffle sleeves, which happens to be one of this seasons most popular trends. If you aren’t an off-the-shoulder-dress type of person (or you will be working before all of the festivities like me) you can also opt to pull up the sleeves and wear it in a tank top style with the ruffles falling along the neckline. I also found this pair of strappy sandal clogs at Fred Meyer that happen to be identical to a $200 dollar name brand pair that I’ve been eyeing. I experimented with these shoes last weekend and walked all around downtown Portland for hours in them. The results? They were so surprisingly comfortable that I never even had to bring out the back-up flats for the occasion! So yes, they go with everything, are super easy to walk in AND are comfortable! To finish off my look, I used a red O.P.I nail polish and a red lip using N.Y.X LiquidSuede matte lipstick in the kitten heels shade. I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and don’t forget the mini flags!

Thank you to Fred Meyer for sponsoring this post! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Happy Memorial Day everyone and thank you to those who have, are and will served in the military for fighting for our freedom.
