Destroyed denim

Who says you can’t mix and match? I definitely don’t! Lately,  I’ve been mixing things up and pairing different styles together to make for more interesting and unique outfits (check out my last mix and match post here). I think it’s fun to not always play by the fashion rules and to step out of your box a little. I like to mix and match feminine and edgier pieces, creating the perfect blend of the two styles, so that’s why for this look, I partnered with American Eagle Outfitters. I love shopping with AEO because they have such a wide variety to choose from; boho, feminine, hipster, edgy, preppy ect. Literally something for everybody. For this particular outfit, I paired a more bohemian styled top with flutter sleeves and embroidery detail with a pair of distressed tomgirl jeans. I absolutely love this top because the material is so soft, hangs just right and has a lot of detail that was put into it, including the flutter sleeves, front clasps and colorful embroidered details. For the jeans, the distressing is perfectly placed and the denim is super comfortable. I would suggest sizing down one size in this particular style though. To finish of this look I added a modern pair of sunnies, feminine ankle straped wedges and a pretty little camel colored bag. I think it balances the feminine, boho and edgy styles perfectly without one being too overwhelming than the other. What are your favorite styles to mix and match?
