Our family has many tried and true recipes that we rotate throughout the month. Sometimes finding new ones that make the cut is not only time consuming, but often times seems to be more effort than it’s worth. We love to try, as well as create new recipes using unique spices and different ingredients, but researching the internet and finding that perfect blend doesn’t always fit into our busy schedules. When I got the opportunity to team up with RAWSPICEBAR and try their monthly flavor kit, I was super excited. Their kit comes with three perfectly flavored spice blends ready to cook, bake, or brew with easy to follow recipes for a kitchen newbie or a blend of flavor inspiration for those ready to take on and create their own recipes to share. In each kit, you receive three spice blends and 6 easy to follow recipes (two for each spice). You can check out their blog for additional recipes or even share your own creation on their Instagram. Also, be sure to check my Instagram later this week for a subscription giveaway!
This month, after receiving the subscription box, I baked the unpumpkin spice donuts, the peppercorn chai masala (both with the provided recipes, and both absolutely delicious) then created my own concoction with the indo-french vandouvian spice. I really loved the recipes that they provided because they are super easy to make and very easy to add ingredients and build upon. I ended up making a fusion chicken kabobs marinade with the vandouvan spice and paired it with a nutty, chili lime green sauce. The recipe will be posted for you below.
As far as a subscription goes with RAWSPICEBAR, I would totally recommend it. It’s great for a date night in and for you creatives who love a challenge of concocting your own recipes. I will definitely be purchasing a few subscriptions for Christmas gifts this holiday season. It’s a great gift for foodies, a newbie cook, newlyweds, first time home buyers or that one person in your life who is so hard to buy for because they have everything, and sure to use the code FLAVOR6 to receive $5 off a 6 or 12 month subscription. Do any of you already subscribe to RAWSPICEBAR? What do you think of their monthly spice kit, and are you more of a follow the recipe kind or a create your own and go?
